Linda Lam Tai Kam's Obituary
Linda Lam-Tai Kam (金林娣), 74, passed away peacefully in her home under the care of her three beloved children on Thursday, 11th of May. Born in Shanghai, China, Linda started working at a very young age in Hong Kong, and then immigrated to the US in 1968. She owned and operated restaurants in New York City and DFW with her late husband Eddie Chi-Keung Ho (何志强), who passed in 1986. She continued working in the restaurant business for many years until her retirement. Linda enjoyed cooking for friends and family and tending to her garden at home. In her spare time, she volunteered at Buddhist temples and expressed her creativity through crocheting blankets that she would gift to others. Always ready to lend a hand, she was well remembered by others as kind, caring, and considerate. Linda is survived by Rioma Kam (son) and wife Joanna Chu; Angela Maness (daughter) and husband Kevin Maness; and William Ho (son) and fiancée Ally Lieu. Funeral services for all friends and family will be held at Restland Dallas on Friday, May 26th with visitation starting at 11:00am, followed by a Buddhist memorial service at 1:00pm. Linda will be laid to rest beside her husband at Restland Memorial Park. Memorial donation in Linda’s memory may be made to the Asian American Health Coalition or Chinese-American Planning Council.
