Lisa Sarah Pogue's Obituary
Lisa Sarah Pogue was born on August 27, 1955 to William Franklin Pogue, a truancy officer, and Beverly Seymour Pogue, a physical therapist, in Yonkers, New York. Young, spirited and mischievous, Lisa loved playing hide and seek, and beating everyone at hopscotch.Lisa graduated from Mount Saint Mary Academy in Kenmore, New York in 1973 and went on to earn her BBA in Economics from Marymount Manhattan College in New York in 1977. Upon graduation, Lisa left New York for Chicago and eventually settled in Texas by the mid 80’s. Lisa was an enthusiastic storyteller, reveled in family-time, enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, listening to Streisand and Bocelli, playing Bunco and Ballpark card games, and being the life of the party. Lisa was an avid New York Giants fan, loved the Chicago Bears and took every opportunity to express her disdain for the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone delighted in Lisa’s apple pie, a family recipe passed on to her by grandmother Florene Seymour. Lisa was a generous, warm, welcoming soul with the most infectious laugh and a wondrous ability to make everyone who ever visited her home feel loved. Lisa worked for over 25 years for Computer Sciences Corporation as a Principal Business Consultant; where she fostered some of her most cherished friendships.Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin Pogue and Beverly Seymour Pogue, sister Leane Pogue Hubbard, and her beloved rottweiler, Dakota.Lisa is survived by her daughter Stephanie Bryant, her son-in-law Trey Bryant, her grandchildren Kennedy and Baylor, her niece Danielle Hubbard, aunt Patricia Seymour-Harrison, James Scott with Aisah & Jordan, and too many cousins and devoted friends to list.Visitation for Ms. Lisa Sarah Pogue will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
