Lois Barton's Obituary
Lois Barton, age 84, of Mesquite, Tx passed away at Medical City Hospital in Dallas on August 11, 2017. Despite a gallant struggle, her condition declined, and she went to be with the Lord. Lois was born on December 27, 1932, in Paris, Tx to the late John and Ruth Haddix, and grew up in Dallas, Tx. Lois married John Barton on November 21, 1973, in Mesquite, Tx. Lois was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as a non-foods clerk for Safeway for 32 years, before retiring. Lois was a devoted and loving mother. She is survived by her son, James Pappas. She was very proud of her family and thrilled to be “Nanny” to her 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Barton; brother, David Haddix; and daughter, Ruth Pappas. Lois was a strong-willed, beautiful and intelligent woman. She loved life, and she loved the Lord Jesus. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know and love her. Viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Restland Memorial Chapel.
