Louise Cherry's Obituary
CHERRY, LOUISE Age 94, of Keller, TX passed away peacefully on 11/16/2011 at The Carlyle at Stonebridge of Southlake, TX. She was born on 2/27/1917 in Commerce, TX to her parents, Ernest C. and Odessa Cargile and was one of 7 siblings. She graduated from high school in Commerce, TX and attended East Texas State College. Louise married J.D. Henry in Dallas, TX on May 2, 1936. They had 2 children. J.D. Henry passed away in 1967. In 1975, Louise married Jack Cherry of Arlington, TX. She was a lifelong resident of Dallas until moving to Keller in 2010. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church of Richardson, TX. Louise will be remembered by her loving daughters Gail Jones and husband Vance of Dallas, TX, and Melanie Oliver of Keller, TX, her grandchildren Derrick Jones and wife Catherine, Laurie Jones Sage, Wendi Jones Foster and husband Craig, Kristi Oliver Gordon and husband Blake, and Corby Oliver; her great-grandchildren Jordan and Brad Jones, Brandon and Skylar Sage, Taylor and Jack Gordon; and siblings, Ann Meade and Bob Cargile, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Louise’s gift was in loving her family and being a supportive and caring friend with a consistent heart for others. Services will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior.
