Lucile Joy Frank's Obituary
FRANK, LUCILE JOY was born on July 6, 1920 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Florence Cobb; sister, Loretta Engstrom; brother, Joe Cobb; and her beloved husband of 47 years, D.A. Frank, Jr., who passed away in 1986. Lucile was a 1937 graduate of Highland Park High School. She attended SMU where she was a Freshman Beauty. She is survived by her sons David A. Frank, III and his wife, Cindy, of Corpus Christi, Texas; James H, Frank and his wife, Madeline, of Dallas, Texas; Robert J. Frank and his wife, Diane, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren: Stacey Frank Conover and Scott Frank of Dallas, Texas; Julie Dugan of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jenna Husband of Kyle, Texas; great grandchildren: Sage Husband, Layla Husband of Kyle, Texas; Jaye Sugan, Jenny Dugan of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is also survived by her friend and long time assistant, Bettie Robertson of Dallas, Texas. Being with her family brought her the greatest pleasure. She loved the laughter that filled the rooms during holidays and other times. Lu and D.A. were able to travel the world, but they never missed one of their son’s football games or a UT home game. Lu belonged to many bridge and poker clubs which she enjoyed with her dear friends. She was a member of University Park Methodist Church for 62 years and a past president of the Mr. & Mrs. Sunday School Class. She was a member of Dallas Lawyers’ Auxiliary, Southern Memorial, Dallas Theater Center Guild, and Craig Class. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel .
