Mamie L. Basaldua's Obituary
On January 29, 2021, Mamie (Manuela) Lee Basaldua went to be with the Lord. She was born on August 28, 1943 to Manual Trevino and Juanita Longoria Miller in Snyder TX. She lived in Dallas Texas for 51 years.
Her pleasures came from loving, caring and dedication for her family. She sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. While her husband was away at work sometimes for days at time, she cared for her family at home. She also cared for other children in her home.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and sewing, listening to Contemporary Christian music. She worshiped the Lord every day of her life in everything that she did and was a major influence for Christ in this world but especially to her family! She always enjoyed good laughs with family and friends. Her laugh was so joyful and infectious she would often have others laughing hard along with her. She always saw the humor in things.
Her favorite time of the year, is spring. Planting flowers of all types, although her favorite are sunflowers. Watching her flowers, garden of herbs and vegetables grow and often talking to her plants gave her great pleasure.
She will be remembered as being creative, witty, strong minded and young at heart. People would often think she was the sister of her children instead of their mother because she looked so young and was so young at heart.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Joe P. Basaldua, and daughter Mary J. Hernandez.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Betty Irvin (James Irvin), Dora Bueno (Rudy Bueno), Jesse Basaldua (special friend Veronica Fulmer), Tammy Henderson (Mark Henderson), Jason Basaldua (Deborah Basaldua), and Jonathan Basaldua (Melissa Basaldua). She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Elizabeth Christi Cash, Christopher Paul Abraham Barrera, Jennifer Lauren Dunn, Marc Anthony Barrera, Brittany Nicole Henderson, Corina Loraine Basaldua, Christian Alexander Hernandez, Cameron Jamaal Henderson, Selena Dora Bueno, Victoria Renae Hernandez, Jade Denee’ Basaldua, Jonathan Basaldua, Destiny Marie Basaldua, Jacob Basaldua. Her beloved great grandchildren: Paul Abraham Barrera, Sarah Felicity Barrera, Jeremiah Brown, Isabella Marie Costilla, Sebastian Xavi Costilla, Adien Gonzalez, Joshua Zane Barrera, Olivia Jane Rose Barrera, and Eli Gonzalez, family and friends.
No longer by our side, but forever in our hearts.
We will always love and miss you!
