Margaret Land Dillaha's Obituary
DILLAHA,MARGARET LAND born February 14, 1937 in Marshall, Texas to Helen Rushing Land and Henry Lee Land, passed away on September 18, 2012 in Richardson, Texas. She and the late William Burt Dillaha were married almost 50 years until his death in 2009. They had one son, Leland Burt Dillaha, who died in 2011. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, and several cousins.Margaret was a lifelong Texan and almost lifelong Dallasite. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1954 and received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin in 1958. After working for American Brass Co. and Reynolds Metals Co., she returned to school and received an associate degree in accounting in 1980 from Richardson Junior College. She was employed by Ensearch Exploration until her retirement. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Restland Cemetery at 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, followed by a luncheon for family and friends at Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church at 6445 E. Lovers Lane, Dallas, TX 75214. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the church.
