Margaret Powell Gooding Henson Dickinson's Obituary
DICKINSON, MARGARET POWELL born March 15, 1934 in Luling, Texas and passed away December 27, 2012 in Hurst, Texas. Margaret followed in her mother’s footsteps as a piano teacher. She also sang and taught music in Irving ISD for 30 years. Margaret loved her family but loved God More. She was a peace maker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Henson and Leonard Dickinson; parents, Ira and Margaret Powell; brother, Ira C. “Rocky” Powell; grandson, Michael Gates. Margaret is survived by daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Keough; son, Robert “Bob” D. Gooding, Raymond Henson, Jack G. Henson; sister, Lillian “Fran” Powell; son-in-law, Shaun Keough; daughter-in-laws, Donna Gooding, Gena Henson; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, Irving, Texas with burial at DFW National Cemetary beginning at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 3, 2012.
