Margery Ruth Cunningham's Obituary
Margery Ruth Cunningham passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas on May 21, 2016 at the age of 94. She was born in Dallas, Texas in 1922, a daughter of the late Jake and Hattie Mae Tipps, and has lived in Dallas those 94 years. Margery was a 1939 graduate of Adamson High School and earned her B.A. degree in 1943 from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. Margery was an active volunteer in her church and many civic and social organizations including the Dallas Heritage Village (formerly Old City Park). In addition to her parents, Margery was preceded in death by her husband, Carne Cunningham and by her two sisters, Winifred Cook and Sara Sue Burnett. Margery is survived by her son, Dan Cunningham and his wife, Doris; her daughter, Molly Mae Cunningham; grandchildren, Adrian Cunningham and his wife, Taylor, Ashley DeVane and husband, Ed; five great-grandchildren. The visitation for Margery Cunningham will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, May 23, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service for Margery will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church in Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church or the CC Young Senior Living Center.
