Margie Ree Bradley's Obituary
Margie Ree Bradley, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 90, in Garland, Texas.
Born on October 2, 1935, in Carthage, Mississippi, Margie was the cherished daughter of the late Howard Thomas Cargill and Bessie Mae Johnson. Her early life in Mississippi instilled in her a deep sense of community and warmth that she carried throughout her life.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Thomas Cargill and Bessie Mae Johnson; her sister, Jean Howie; her brother, Howard Cargill; and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Bradley.
Her legacy lives on through her devoted family. Margie is survived by her sister, Dorothy Liberty, and her five children: Lynn Handrigan, Charles Bradley, William Bradley, John Bradley, and Michael Bradley. She will be deeply missed by her daughters-in-law, Sharon Bradley and Tammy Bradley, and her brother-in-law, Bradford Bradley.
Margie was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family, including thirteen grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Heather Leatherwood, Amanda Martinez, April Dempsey, Katie Goodman, Elliott Bradley, Harrison Bradley, Cole Higgins, Sumner Bradley, Caroline Wilcox, Hannah Bradley, Laura Bradley, Elizabeth Reeder, and Crawford Bradley. She was also blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren: Jaden Leatherwood, Olivia Stewart, Haleigh Leatherwood, Grayson Dempsey, Melinda Martinez, Liam Martinez, Irie Goodman, Autumn Goodman, Jonah Leatherwood, Easton Dempsey, Lincoln Bradley, Wesley Goodman, Walker Bradley, Ruth Bradley, Winslow Reeder, and Cooper Goodman.
Margie Ree Bradley will be remembered for her unwavering love, her kind spirit, and the enduring strength she showed her family. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional support, and her memory will be a guiding light for all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Nursery.
