Marie Oden Keller's Obituary
Marie Keller, “Nonnie”, age 78 went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2009, at home surrounded by family and friends. Born November 13, 1930, in Atlanta, Texas, she is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, John, to whom she was married for over sixty years. She resided in Dallas and the ranch she so loved in Athens, Texas. Nonnie’s life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son Ray and daughter-in-law Carol; daughter Kay and son-in-law Andy Johnston; son Victor and daughter-in-law Nancy. Her joy was her grandchildren: Amy, who preceded her in death; Jason; Adam and Chandra; Nicole, Taylor, Jacqueline, Kirsten, John, Paige and Veronica, Erica; her great-grandchildren: Clayton, Jackson and Harrison and her nephew Rick Crawford of Murchison, Texas. Funeral services are to be a visitation at 6pm and rosary at 7pm, Monday, July 6, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville, Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 972-238-7111; Mass at 10am July 7, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Drive, Dallas, Texas, 214-348-7380. Internment at Restland Cemetery,13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2929 Carlisle Suite 230 Dallas, Texas 75204 214-871-2222. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, staff, caregivers, and friends and loved-ones who cared for her, attended to her every need, became her friends and loved her during these special times. They are greatly appreciated and will remain in our gratitude, thoughts and prayers for many years to come. Nonnie’s life and devotion to her husband and family can be summed up: “They are not dead who live in lives they leave behind.” God bless you, Mama. We love you and miss you greatly.
