Marilyn Jean Schork Ford's Obituary
Marilyn Jean Ford, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on November 30, 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Monticello, MO on November 1, 1926 to Paul & Vada Kathleen Schork, Marilyn grew up on the family farm loving music and horses. She often sang, played the piano & danced at various area social functions. After moving to Dallas in 1963, Marilyn worked as a medical secretary for several years. She was a positive, outgoing person who enjoyed family & friends, cooking, gardening and of course her dogs. She loved to sing, play the piano, golf, travel, snow ski, play bridge, and square/round dance. Marilyn was an active member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church for over 45 years. Marilyn was preceded in death by Henry, her husband of 64 years, her sister and two brothers. She is survived by her children: Alan Ford & partner Joyce, Keith Ford & wife Karen, Kevin Ford & wife Linda; grandchildren: Michael, Shannon Scott & husband James, Victoria, Allison and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren: Brayden, Kyle and Wyatt Scott. Funeral service is 10:00 am Friday, December 4th at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church in Dallas. Visitation is Thursday evening at Restland Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm.
