Marion Ruth Driscoll's Obituary
DRISCOLL, MARION RUTH HOWARD Born in Erick, Oklahoma on January 8, 1918 and passed away in Dallas, Texas on August 3, 2013 Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 17, 2013 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3698 Rosemeade Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75287 Her parents were Thomas F. Howard and Dardanelle (Dargell) Blair Howard. She grew up the daughter of a rancher and a school teacher in Oklahoma and New Mexico. It was a happy group consisting of one sister, Helen, and seven brothers, Frances, Pete, Wayne, Duane (Mutt), Wendell (PC), Bill (Happy) and Trevor (Hot Shot) who have all preceded her in death. In 1938 she married Garland Dillon (Doc) Reese. They moved to California where they had three children, Judy, Helen and Bruce. Together they studied the Bible and through the knowledge they gained from that study in 1942 they dedicated their lives to Jehovah and were baptized. When Doc died in an automobile accident in 1945 she returned to New Mexico where both her parents and Doc’s parents lived. In 1950 she married Bill Wyatt and they had one daughter, Vicki. She had a very full life as a faithful servant of her God, Jehovah, for seven decades. She earned her living as a bookkeeper and worked at that profession until she was 70 years old. She also taught quilting at Eastfield College and at the De Golyer Mansion in the Arboretum for several years. In 1988, at age 70, she married Irving Driscoll who has preceded her in death. She is survived by her family; children, Judy and (Johnny), Helen and (Joe), Bruce and Vicki; grandchildren, Jeff and (Jenni), Jill and (Sam), Chris, Joel and (April), Julie and (Eric), James and (Mandy), Joshua and Kyle; great grandchildren: Amber, Cameron and (Mel), Brittny, Rebecca, Mason, Reese, Jessica, Hannah, Lauren, A. J., Natalie, Elizabeth, Kuranda, Jonathan, Jordan, Brooklyn and Erick; and great-great grandchildren, Kayleb and Dillon. She has numerous nieces and nephews who have cherished their Auntie Midget. She died peacefully at her home with family and friends surrounding her.
