Marion Frances (McAndrew) Harvey's Obituary
HARVEY, MARION FRANCES (MCANDREW) – Born November 8th, 1920 on a farm in Williamson County, TX to Wendell Evert McAndrew and Bertha Peacock McAndrew. She passed away peacefully on Oct. 8th, 2012 while she was residing at Orchard Park Assisted Living in McKinney, TX. Mimi, as she was called by her family and friends had lived in Richardson, TX for fifty years. There, she raised her family and was employed by Collins Radio and the University of Texas Dallas as a switch board operator until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Barnabas Presbyterian Church in Richardson. Mimi was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Joseph Harvey in 1992. They were married in 1946 after they met each other in Austin, TX. Mimi loved politics and was a life long Republican. She enjoyed supporting and working for the Republicans across the state. She also loved her immediate family made up of her son, Edwin A. Harvey and her daughter-in-law, Janet Veerman Harvey of Celina, TX. She was also especially proud of her son, Christopher W. Harvey of Richardson, TX. She was preceded in death by of her siblings including: Maxine Elliot McAndrew, Kenneth Evert McAndrew, Louis McAndrew, William Senter McAndrew, and Wendell Allen McAndrew. Her surviving siblings are; Margaret Ann McAndrew Tanksley of Bertram, TX, Martha Louise McAndrew Lilly of Bedford, TX, Emma Maudena McAndrew Williams of Dallas, TX and Madeline McAndrew Tempio of San Antonio, TX. She will also be missed by her grandchildren; Amy Christine Harvey Redus and her husband Brady Redus of Sapulpa, OK, Kristin Lynn Harvey Franks and her husband Russell Franks of Little Elm, TX, Ryan Thomas Harvey and Adam McAndrew Harvey of Celina, TX. Also to be remembered are her great-grandchildren , Kai Redus, Jadden Redus, Jackson Franks and Ryder Franks. The remembrance service will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel and burial will be at Restland Memorial Park on Saturday, October 13th at 2:30pm.
