Martha Ann Lee's Obituary
Martha Ann was born April 28, 1928 in Dallas to Bessie and Armin Henneberger. Preceded in death by husbands, Russell Daniel Henke and Harry Arthur Lee; parents, Bessie and Armin Henneberger; brothers, Armin, Jack and Wayne Henneberger; and sister, Ruth Henneberger Holmes. Survived by daughter, Diane Henke Shelton and husband Mike; son, Daniel William Henke II and wife Brenda; granddaughter, Jennifer Medina and husband Johnny; great grandsons, Ben Medina and Alex Medina; step granddaughter, Kelly Shelton Mathews and husband Jamon; great granddaughters, Rilee Mathews and Reese Mathews. In 1932 the family moved to Austin so that Martha Ann’s siblings could attend the University of Texas and graduate. In 1942 Martha Ann and her parents moved back to Dallas. Martha Ann attended Highland Park High School and S.M.U. where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She met Russell Henke – he also graduated from Highland Park High School and attended S.M.U. They married in 1949 at First Methodist Church Dallas. They had 2 children, Diane and Dan. Russell passed away in 1967. Martha Ann married Harry A. Lee in 1972. Harry passed away in 2006. Martha Ann was active in the Zeta Tau Alpha Mother’s Club and volunteered at Dallas Arboretum. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
