Mary Clifford Rude's Obituary
Mary Clifford Rude was born on April 25, 1934, in Chicota, Texas and passed away on December 18, 2016, in Mesquite, Texas. Mary is preceded in death by her son, Lindley Smithart, and daughter, Deanne Stoker. Mary is survived by her husband, Gene Rude; daughters, Lisa Woodard and Bretta Price and son, Erik Rude. The family will receive friends on December 22, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Chapel followed by a funeral service st 11:00 AM also in the Memorial Chapel. Mary was a loving mother of five children and a wife of Gene Rude for more than 55 years. She was a wonderful talker who loved the company of others but her gift to the world was the ability to care for young children. She was a selfless woman who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She will be missed by more people than she could have ever imagined.
