Merle has always been one of the most beautiful women I ever knew. To me, she never changed from the time I was a little girl until I last saw her two years ago–still beautiful and still as sweet as ever! I know you will miss her, as we certainly will at reunion time!
Merle and I were great friends. One of my favorite memories back in the '70s was Merle baking bread at midnight and calling me over! We had many late night activities both in Dallas and in Birmingham. She knew how to have a good time. We celebrated many birthdays, holidays and no-special-days! Merle always called me Pam-a-Lamb. There was nothing that made her happier than telling all about her boys, daughters-in-love and grandchildren. May God's blessings surround you. Pam Hicks
