Mary Virginia Painter's Obituary
PAINTER, MARY HUTCHINS Age 98, passed from this life on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009. Mary Virginia Hutchins was born in Wylie, Texas on Sept. 8, 1911, to James Thomas Hutchins and Emma Alford Hutchins. After finishing high school in Wylie, Mary studied and trained at St. Paul Hospital and became a registered nurse in 1931 at age 19. She married Cecil George Painter on Dec. 31, 1939. Mary became a Real Estate Broker in 1963 and worked successfully in that field until she retired in 1982. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Cecil, her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include niece Martha Nelson Martin, nephews David Hutchins, Steve Hutchins, Paul Jack Nelson, great nieces and nephews, and many friends. Mary was a long time member of Greenland Hills United Methodist Church in Dallas. Her pastor Rev. Marti Soper will conduct the funeral service to be held in Restland Wildwood Chapel at 3:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 4th. Visitation at Restland Funeral Home, Thurs, Sept. 3, 6-8 pm; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greenland Hills United Methodist Church, 5835 Penrose Ave., Dallas, TX 75206 or to the charity of your choice.
