Melody Sue Seljos' Obituary
Melody Sue Seljos passed away on Christmas Eve 2022 after having suffered a stroke in September.
Melody was born at St. joseph's Maternity Hospital in Houston, Tx on September 4, 1947. She is preceded in death by parents, Arthur Lloyd and Doris Eggleston Seljos, and brother, Lloyd Seljos, as well as her stepmother Margaret David. She attended high school in Houston and later graduated from Baylor University in Waco in 1969 earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Soon after graduation she went to work for Texas Department of Human Services in Dallas where she worked as a social worker in Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services until retiring after 30 years of service. After that, she worked as Senior Companion Caseworker at the Senior Source for the next 10 years. Melody had many treasured lifelong friends, and she was an avid Pokeno player. She loved children and was devoted to her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her step- sister, Donna Boyd and her former sister-in-law, Janet Seljos. Melody's funeral service will be on Monday , January 23, 2023 at Restland Funeral Home at the Wildwood Chapel. Visitation at 12:30 and Funeral service at 1:30.
