Melvin Fitzgerald Gardner's Obituary
On September 8, 2025, Our Father Jesus Christ called Fitzgerald’s name, and he went home to eternal rest; to know him was to love him.
Fitzgerald was a gentle giant, kindhearted person and loved everyone no matter what.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert Melvin Gardner and Helen R. Gardner and siblings: Rodney Gardner and James Earl Polk.
His memories will live on through the lives of his siblings Donna, Darren, Felicia and Corey Gardner, his Special Friend Rosa Renea Sheffield, his nephews Jonathan and Jason Gardner, Nieces Corneisha and Eliana Gardner and a host of great-nieces and -nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home.
