Michael B. Johnson's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Barnett Johnson announces his sudden passing on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the age of 58, after a strong fight with cancer. Michael is survived by his wife, Shaina; her children, Lillian and Corbin; his daughters, Samantha and Jayme; his grandson, Conner; his Mother, Patsy; and siblings, Debbie B., Karen, Gary, Chuck, Richard Jr., Harlan, Larry, Shane, Sandy, Debbie, Eddie, Kathy, and Cindy. Michael will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Michael joins his Father, Gerald Johnson, and his sister Susie in the eternal life.Michael was a native Texan who was born in Dallas and attended the North Garland High School. Michael loved working at Fischer Land and Cattle of which he was able to contribute to his job by doing the things he loved to do. Michael’s love of life and positive energy was infectious to all he met, for he never met a stranger. Michael enjoyed life, attending drag races, going on trail rides, and sprint cars were just a few of his passions. His outgoing personality made him capable of making friends at any event, blessing him and those around him with amazing memories. Michael’s smile was contagious which always brought peace and tranquility to any situation, he was the prime example of agape love.In memory of Michael, there will be a funeral service on Thursday, May 10th at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Viewing and visitation at 11:30am and the ceremony at 12:30pm. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held following the funeral at the main ranch house at Fischer Land and Cattle, 15777 FM 981 Blue Ridge, TX.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243, (972-238-7111).
