Michael Reid Rapuano's Obituary
Michael Rapuano, age 80 passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2022. He was the son of the late Michael Rapuano and Catherine Peck Rapuano and grew up in Newtown, PA. Michael was a graduate of Deerfield Academy (Class of 1960) and Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA (Class of 1964).
At Dickinson Mike was the President of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi and co-captained their varsity lacrosse team. His love of the game and his school have kept Mike vigorously supporting Dickinson's lacrosse team. He has been one of their most dedicated alumni sponsors.
Following his college graduation, Mike entered OCS School and earned his commission as a Lieutenant in the US Army. He served in Vietnam as a Rifle Platoon Leader and was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star with Valor, a Bronze Star for Meritorious Service and a Combat Infantry Badge.
While selling bonds in Philadelphia, Mike maintained and continued to oversee the operations of his family farm, which was his lifelong passion. When the farm was eventually sold Mike facilitated its sale through the Heritage Conservancy, thereby guaranteeing the preservation of the land's natural state.
While Mike and his wife have enjoyed their retirement in Dallas, Mike has continued his lifelong loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles. No easy task living in Cowboys Country.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Lloyd Rapuano with whom he has enjoyed the last 39 years.
Mike's daughter Margi Corsello (Ken) resides in New York State and his son, Michael L. Rapuano (Luisa) lives in California. He is also survived by his sister, Marga Rogers who resides in Newtown, PA.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Restland Cemetery in Dallas on Tuesday, November 22 at 1pm. The family requests that attendees respect Covid precautions.
