Mildred Lyon Monroe's Obituary
MONROE, MILDRED LYON MOODY Our lovely Mother passed away January 2, 2010. She was born February 28, 1913 to Dr. E.G. Lyon and Mary Alice Baldwin in Lake Cormorant, Miss. She later married Col.Ted M. Moody and they had two daughters. They divorced and she later married Walter Monroe Jr. She was a Real Estate Agent for many years. After the death of her husband of 27 years, she moved to Indiana at the age of 71 to work for her adopted daughter. She worked there for ten years and then returned to Dallas, where she traveled and enjoyed life. Her elegance, charm and love of life will be a constant reminder of how blessed we were to have her in our lives for such a long time. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Moody Asche, Dallas and Rosemary Zraly, New York and her adopted daughter, Dee Sexton, Indianapolis, Grandchildren Vale Asche Elkins and Ed, Fritz Asche and Cindy. Services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, January 9, 2009 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Friday at Restland Funeral Home.
