Minne Waters' Obituary
We gather in this season to reflect upon and celebrate the life of Minne Waters. Mlnne was born to the late Juan Salazar and Marie Jesus Navarro on April 22, 1927 in Bellville, Texas. Bellville Is also known as the County seat of Austin County which was home to some of the first Texas colonists. Like Bellville, M,inne was a diamond in the rough that overcame all odds. Who other than Robert H Waters would find this treasure? Having seen everything he would pray for in a wife, he proposed to Miime and took her hand in marriage on Saturday, August 20th 1949. Throughout an outstanding 67 years of marriage, Minne modeled the man she had become one with. She was dedicated to being a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, as well as a servant to her brethren. Minne’s life reflected her favorite color, which was red. Minne was vibrant, loving, caring, beautiful and strong while sacrificing all. With this love and dedication, It Is by no surprise that Mlnne was Initiated into the Electra Chapter No 872 Order of the Eastern Star in Dalla~, Texas on April 4, 1952. Upon the demise of Electra Chapter No 872, she transferred her membership to Garland Chapter No 156 in Garland, Texas on February 6, 1956. She was very active In her service to our young ones, she also served as Mother Advisor to the Order for Rainbow Girls and the Garland and Corpus Christi Chapter of Demolay for many years. She was very active in the formation of the Alia Grotto ladies in Dallas, Texas. Throughout all the years of her service to our Masonic Families, she remained a servant and ever faithful to her God, always increasing her love and dedication to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She continued to serve for a total of 65 years, one month and 3 days In the OES. This dedication rewarded her In many ways, one of which, she was elected to hold the position of worthy Matron from June 1st 1984 through May 30th 1985. Additionally, Minne was allowed to be honored and rest at the Texas Masonic Retirement Center until the Lord called her home on Sunday, May 7th 2017. Minne’s spirit is carried on by her Husband Robert H Waters, daughter Tracey Richeson and Husband Dennis, Granddaugter Jennifer Cooper and husband Todd, Daryl Clark, great grandchildren, Ashley Richeson, Erin Thelsman and Husband Joe, Megan, Ben and Jack Cooper. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 12 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243. Her Journey’s Just Begun Don’t think ‘of Her as gone away Her Journey’s just begun Life holds so many facets This Earth is only one. Just think of Her as resting From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years. Think how She must be wishing That we could know today How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away- And think of Heras living In the hearts of those She touched. For nothing loved is ever lost And She was loved so much.
