Miriam Lou Jones' Obituary
Miriam “Mimi” Lou Jones, age 72 passed away on September 7th, 2022. She resided in Garland, Texas and is the wife of Curtis Brewer Jones. They shared 44 wonderful years of marriage together and had two daughters who were the light of her life, Natalie Christine Jones and Amy Elizabeth Jones.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 22nd, 1949, Mimi was the daughter of Dr. James and Julia Austin and was the oldest of three children. She attended Abilene Christian University and then was dedicated to a career in healthcare supporting a private pediatric practice for over 20 years.
Mimi enjoyed attending church, singing, dining out with her family (almost always Mexican food), taking care of her granddogs, electronic painting, and keeping up with old and new friends on social media. She was the most loving and caring wife, mother and sister, and her family will cherish her forever. She will be remembered for having the most gentle and kind heart, and bringing a smile to everyone's face whom she encountered.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Jones, two daughters Natalie and Amy Jones, brothers Alan Austin and wife Terri, brother Ray Austin, and two granddogs, Roxy and Pippa Jones. She was preceded in death by parents James and Julia Austin, and grandparents Raymond and Myra Hill.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held in her honor on Friday September 23rd at 2pm at Restland Funeral Home - 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243. A viewing will be held the same day beginning at 1pm.
