Murlyene Budd's Obituary
Of Garland, TX passed away January 29, 2010, from the arms of her loving family to the arms of her Lord. Murlyene Lyles was born on January 23, 1928, in Breckenridge, Texas. She lived a long, wonderful life to celebrate her 82nd birthday with her family just six days before her passing. A telephone operator for AT&T for over 20 years, she retired to enjoy her family, reading, and watching her favorite TV program, “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?” Our “Nanny” was the strong, caring center of her family. We will keep in our hearts her words: “Always pray and believe that God loves us.” Preceding her in death was her husband, Norman A. Budd, Jr. She leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter, Linda Lee, of Rockwall, her son, Norman Budd, III, of Garland, her two grandchildren, Sherrie Boyd, of Anna, and Steven Self, of Garland, and her four great-grandchildren, Chris Goodman, Nick Goodman, Damon Self, and Kyla Self, and the spouses of Sherrie: Jay Boyd, and Steven: Brittany Self. Visitation is Monday from 6-8 at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas. Service will be in Abbey Chapel at Restland on Tuesday at 3:00p.m. Our Mother and Nanny is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
