Nan B. Holmes' Obituary
HOLMES, NAN “TINA”, born December 13, 1928 and passed away March 5, 2007, at Hospice of East Texas from complications of Alzheimer’s. She worked as a volunteer for many years for the Crisis Center of East Texas and the Dula Program of Mother Frances Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tyler. Tina is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ray Holmes, and sister, Mary Colby. Survivors include sister, Louise Williams of Dallas; daughters, Cindi White, Sharon Carver, Susan Whitaker of Tyler, Liz Irwin of Carrollton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:00 PM, Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Services for Nan “Tina” Holmes are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2007 at Restland Abbey Chapel. Family requests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Alliance of Northeast Tewxas, 3316 Broadway, #401, Tyler, TX 757501.
