Nancy Elizabeth Fontecchio's Obituary
Elizabeth Fontecchio, (Liz), went to be with the lord on February 5th 2017. She was born in Millport, Alabama on June 4, 1919. Elizabeth enlisted in the Army during World War II as a registered nurse and was discharged as a Second Lieutenant in1946. She went on to work in the Veterans Hospital in Dallas, Texas for many years and eventually retired from the VA. She was married to Curtis W. Griffith who passed away in 1974. In 1976, Liz married Thomas Fontecchio and they retired from Dallas to Lakewood, Colorado for many happy years including travel across the country in an RV. Liz was very active in the Lakewood Church of Christ. Liz was a loving mother to her son, Charles W. Griffith residing in Irving, Texas, her daughter Nancy Griffith of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, two grandsons Cooper Griffith and Carson Griffith residing in the DFW area, step son Ed Fontecchio residing in Dallas, Texas and step daughter Paula Fontecchio, residing in Austin, Texas. Graveside service will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park with a visitation one prior to the service.
