Dr. Nijaz KARACIC.'s Obituary
KARACIC, NIJAZ was born on February 2, 1955 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Nijaz passed away suddenly in Dallas, TX at the age of 58. He was a graduate of Geodesy Engineering from University of Sarajevo, graduate of Geospatial Surveying Engineering at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and earned his PhD in Geosciences at University of Texas at Dallas. Nijaz had over 30 years of extensive experience as a Surveyor/Site Engineer/College Instructor and Lecturer working for contractors and consultants on Large Civil Engineering and Surveying Projects in former Yugoslavia, Syria, Tanzania, Libya and Texas, USA. He also taught at North Lake College and Brookhaven College in the Dallas metroplex. For the past 11 years he was an Associate Principal at Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers. Nijaz was an ambitious man, who enjoyed working, educating himself and helping others. His favorite things were spending time with his wife and daughter, joking and celebrating events with friends and family, spending leisure time walking at White Rock Lake with his wife and walking his dog Rocky after work. He was a proud dad and a loving husband. He was full of life and love. He was preceded in death by his father Fadil and his brother, Zijad. Nijaz is survived by his lovely wife, Ksenija of 33 years; beloved daughter, Deniza and husband, Richard; mother, Zahida; his brother’s family and his family dog, Rocky. He is mourned by the Karacic , Ahmis, Tomic, Bartula families and many loving friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 2:30 PM on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel. NIJAZ KARACIC rodjen 2. fabruara, 1955 u Bosni i Herzegovini. U subotu, 11. januara, 2014, Nijaz je iznenada preminuo u Dallas, TX u 58 godini. Dani prolaze i godine ce proci, ali nista nece umanjiti nasu bol i tugu za tobom. S ljubavlju i postovanjem vjecno cemo cuvati uspomenu na tebe. Hvala ti za svu ljubav, prekrasna sjecanja i trenutke koje si proveo sa nama. Vjecno ozalosceni: supruga Ksenija, kcerka Deniza i njen muz Richard, majka Zahida, bratova supruga Zuhra i njena djeca Azra, Ajla, Sarah, Hana i Nollie, porodice Karacic, Ahmis, Tomic, Bartula i njegov voljeni pas, Rocky.
