Norma Sue Gresham's Obituary
Norma Sue Gresham of Dallas, Texas went home May 5, 2018 to be with her Lord. Norma was born July 23, 1930 in Cardwell, Missouri, one of 10 siblings, to Grover Whitlock and Hester Reagan. Norma married JD Gresham on December 18, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas. They were married for 67 years. She is survived by her husband, JD Gresham, son Gresh and wife Julie, daughter Jennifer and husband Craig, daughter Lisa and husband Jim, daughter Sherry and husband Randy, and daughter Beth and husband Jeff. Along with her son and four daughters she is survived by 15 grandchildren (Bobby, Jillian, Lindsay, Jarrett, Jordan, Courtney, Cody, Reagan, Morgan, Travis, Corbin, Chandler, Jake, Madison, and Jacob) and 12 great-grandchildren (Roman, Emory, Annaleigh, Logan, Brinley, Finley, Cadence, Ashlynn, Braelyn, Jace, Ainsley, and Axel). She is also survived by her baby sister and best friend Billie Whitlock Lemon and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Norma Sue loved her Lord, family, and was an army wife of 22 years. Throughout her life she had a love for ceramics, flower arranging, sewing, and painting which lasted a lifetime. She had such a servant’s heart. She was known for her labor of love at Brookhaven nursing home. She also loved to sing to the Lord and with her brethren in church, as well as belonging to the Richardson Contemporary Chorale. She loved birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds. While she held various jobs, her greatest loves were her husband along with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.The family request that visiting hours be observed at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018. A beautiful funeral service for Ms. Gresham will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243, (972-238-7111).
