Opal E Barnette's Obituary
Went home to Heaven, Monday, October 17, 2011, from Dallas, Texas. Born in Dallas, April 13, 1912, she was predeceased by her parents, Leslie Lee and Jessie Sheppard Murphy, a brother, and her husband, William A. Barnette. She is survived by great niece Kimberly Whatley and husband Michael, and their son Evan; great nephew David Knox; cousin Jane Cross and husband Noble. Opal retired from General Motors, after 30 plus years of service. Her most outstanding trait was loving kindness. She was a delight to all who knew her. She lived a long, wonderful independent life, still beautiful at 99. We’ll love you always Opal.
