I am OD's neice. I am not sure, but I think I am the youngest neice. I can remember when I was a youngster and OD would come see my mother, his sister, Aunt Mimi(Mildred Barnett). He would stop by about every other month and have coffee with mother when he got off of work from the newspaper. Mother kept a wind-up ticking clock in the kitchen and when he arrived she would have to take the clock to another room because Uncle OD could not handle the ticking noise, because of the war. Another thing I remember is when Uncle OD and Aunt Bubba (that is what we called her) came over one Sunday and they had a brand new baby. Can't remember if it was Mike or one of the daughters, at that time I was probably about 8 years old. I was patting the baby and Aunt Bubba was holding the child and I said "Aunt Bubba, too bad you had to have a bald headed one". Boy, did I ever get into trouble from that. Sometimes I would go spend a week with OD and Bubba during the summer and we would have lots of fun. Uncle OD's humor and that distinctive laugh is something I will never forget. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and may God Bless each of you, Sincerely, Roberta Barnett Sessom
