Patricia Lee Coger Middleton's Obituary
Patricia Lee Coger Middleton, 77, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her daughters home on Thursday, February 21st of 2019. She was surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with congestive heart failure.She was born July 9th of 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The daughter of Kenneth and Catherine Coger. She attended The University of Arkansas were she received a Masters degree in Speech Pathology and was a avid member of the drama club. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Middleton, in 1963 where they moved to Dallas, Texas to start their family and their lives. She established a wonderful career, teaching and helping children with autism, that she loved and was passionate about.Pat was generous, kind, warmhearted and loving. She always offered to help anyone in need. She was a devout Christian and was firmly ready to go home and be with our Lord. She always told her family and friends that she enjoyed a full life with no regrets.Pat is predeceased by her son, James Bradfield Middleton in 1986 and her husband of 53 years, James Frank Middleton Jr. in 2015. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son in law, Charlie and Tracy Crawford of Prince George, Virginia. Her two grandchildren Cody Crawford of San Clemente, California and Amanda Crawford of Prince George, Virginia. Her sister in law Ginger Middleton of Memphis, Tennessee. Her niece Kara Middleton of Memphis, Tennessee as well as her nephew Drew Middleton of Norman, Oklahoma.Funeral arrangements are being handled by Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Per her wishes, she will have a simple graveside service on Tuesday, March 5th at 4:00 PM at Restland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to The Marfan Foundation. A foundation that was apart of her life and that she was proud of.
