She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Melinda Ann Lee who we’re sure met her at the Heavenly Gates with a bouquet of Sunflowers. Patsy graduated from Little Rock Central High School and attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeffrey Gross of Flower Mound, and by three grandchildren, Michael Gross, Sophia Gross, and Madeline Gross. Other survivors include her sister-in-law, Peggy Evans of McKinney and by two nieces and one nephew. After enjoying a career in the advertising business, she realized that her most important role was as a wife and stay-at home mom. She became a dedicated Brownie and Girl Scout leader. An active member of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church for many years, she served on several church boards and was a member of the Lyceum/Roundtable Sunday School Class. She was among a group from her church that started breakfast visits to the Austin Street Shelter to feed the homeless. She was also a member of several book clubs and women’s clubs. She was a former member and volunteer with the North Texas Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Patsy and her husband Don loved to travel and had been on a number of cruises together. She and Don were very proud of the Melinda Lee Memorial Endowment Scholarship program at Lake Highlands High School which they established in 1995 in memory of their daughter. Scholarship awards have been made to 49 students to date. Patsy was a committed Christian-she read her Bible EVERY night. She will be remembered as a woman who loved her lord, her family, her friends, her church, and her community.
