Patsy Walker's Obituary
Pat Walker, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30 2016 at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. Pat was born Pasty Jo Luna in Plainview, Texas on March 21, 1930. She attended East Texas State University and became a teacher. She taught first grade for 41 years in Dallas, Garland and Birmingham, Alabama. Pat retired from teaching in 2000. Pat is survived by her husband Edward Walker and three children—Steve Walker, Jana Collier and Lana Fuhrmann. She has three grandchildren as well —Morgan Collier, Jeremy Walker and Jamie Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Limuel Homer Luna and Ouida Luna, and her brothers Norman Luna and David Luna. Pat will be remembered as a woman who never said a bad word about anybody, and seldom if ever complained about the pain and suffering she endured during her final weeks. She will be laid to final rest on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:00 am with a simple graveside ceremony. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pat’s name to First Presbyterian Church in Garland, 930 W. Ave B, Garland, TX 75040.
