Patsy Ann Westbrook's Obituary
On January 31, 2020 Patsy Westbrook, age 86, passed away from a long battle of respiratory and other health issues. She was loved by family and friends. She cared deeply for her family not out of obligation but because of who she was. She was a great mother who provided opportunities for her children that she never had growing up as a depression era child. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Mesquite. She enjoyed her morning devotionals with God and reading her bible.
Her nieces, nephews and grandchildren have such fond memories of her because of all the family reunions she held in her home. Many remember her old sayings such as, “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” She collected angels, butterflies and dishes. She passed on her love of reading to her children and grandchildren as well as her love of playing scrabble, Yahtzee and cards.
She was a people person. She was a member of a sorority, Red Hats Society and volunteered at Baylor Hospital. Mostly she loved her card games with her special friends in her retirement community.
She will be missed.
