Paul Herbert Simonsen's Obituary
Simonsen, Paul H. was born on August 18, 1954 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on October 24, 2016 in Plano, Texas. Preceded in death by mother, Jean Frohock Simenson; and father, Herbert Simonsen. Survived by, wife, Doris; sons, Michael and Joshua; brothers, Robert Simonsen (Rhona), Herb Simonsen Jr. (Katrina); sister, Anna Dkyema (Scott); mother-in-law, Grace Thiel; brother-in-law, Tiger Thiel (Cyndi); nieces and nephews. Paul graduated from Jesuit Prep School. He received his Bachelor and Masters degree from North Texas State University (UNT) in music. Currently worked for Sabre and formerly JCPenney. His love of life was playing his music, especially The Praise Band at Spring Valley UMC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Valley UMC Praise Band. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Spring Valley UMC Dallas, 7700 Spring Valley Rd, Dallas, TX, 75254. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
