Pauline Reeves' Obituary
Reeves, Pauline Cochran 88, a native of Albany, NY passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Louisville, KY surrounded by her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was one of the first women to be elected Vice President of the National Bank of Commerce in the early ’70’s and went on to lead the commercial loan division of Dallas International Bank and head the personnel and business development efforts at Inwood National Bank. She served on the Board of Directors for United General Life Insurance Co; she was treasurer of Zonta Club I, was a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Club of Dallas and the Sanger-Harris career board. After retiring from banking she launched a successful career as a designer and founded a design firm where she worked into her eighties. Among those who preceded her in death include her husband, Francis L. Reeves; her parents, Russell and Pauline Cochran and her brother, James Russell Cochran, II. She is survived by her loving daughters, Pamela Reeves Courvisier and Claudia Reeves Duncan; grandchildren, Ashlie Mercer (Brad), Courtney Sewell (Scott), Tucker Reeves Duncan, Katherine Molly Duncan and Scott Riley Duncan; great grandchildren, Reeves A. Sewell, Riley A. Sewell, Madeline C. Mercer and Molly E. Mercer. She is also survived by her nephew, James R. Cochran, III of Rensselaer, NY. Her memorial service will be 10:00am, September 10, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to ASPCA, 424 East 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128. Reception to follow service at Restland Funeral Home in state room L-M.
