Peggy Jo Blackwell's Obituary
Peggy Jo Blackwell, 83, of Dallas, Texas died July 9, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was born May 20, 1934 to Frazer Blackwell and Juliet Blackwell in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susie Conklin and brother, Frazer Blackwell. She is survived by her brother, William Blackwell; nephews, George Blackwell, William Blackwell, Jr., and Chris Blackwell. Peggy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and graduated Texas Tech in 1957. She was a graphic artist at the Dallas Times Herald before starting her own graphic design business. She was an active member and elder at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for over 60 years. She did volunteer work for the Red Cross and the Lakewood Shepherds Center, making puppets and pillows for children. She also delivered meals on wheels for many years. Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX.
