I feel very lucky to have had Gemo as a grandmother. She was creative and hilarious, and she was a lot fun to be around. Some of my favorite memories as a kid are when the whole family got together at Gemo’s house on Woodcrest, usually for Christmas or Easter. I would hang out with my cousins, and we would do things like play games, chat, and hang out, and we would always hide when we got the feeling that someone was about to try to make us sing. One thing is for sure, Gemo had a kindness that showed me how much she loved all of us. We love her, too, and she will be missed.
