Philip Richard Evans' Obituary
Philip (Phil) R. Evans went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2023 (age 68). He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Beth, their son, Kent, of Dallas, TX and his older brother, James R. Evans of Greenville, TX and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Willie Evans.
Phil was born in Greenville, TX in 1954. He graduated from East Texas State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics. From there he went on to work at E-Systems in Greenville in May of 1978 then transferred to the Garland division of E-Systems in 1982. After leaving E-Systems he went to work for a start up company specializing in virtual advertising. After their acquisition by ESPN, the facility was moved to New Jersey and he went back as a contractor to E-Systems, that had been acquired by Raytheon. He retired from work due to health issues after a few years.
He worked to make his family as happy as possible. He was very independent and took care of himself and others up until 2 weeks before his death. He had a wonderful sense of humor and kept those around him laughing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
