Ralph was born on December 21, 1930 in Mead, Ok to Marvin and Alma Taylor. Ralph loved his wife’s cooking, chocolate pie and fried catfish. He was a life-long member of Platter Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and proud choir leader. He loved cooking for Brotherhood breakfasts and serving up eggs, sausage and biscuits.
He proudly served in the U. S. Navy from 1948-1952. He was deployed to Korea and received the China Service Navy Medal. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Oscar Mayer and has spent his retirement loving his family, coon hunting, gardening and his cattle. He enjoyed the Texas Rangers, swimming, Braum’s, coaching Church softball, and bird watching. He passed on September 10, 2021 and entered into the gates of Heaven. He was surrounded by his family during his last days on earth.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Brown Taylor. Sons: Mark Taylor of Atoka, and Kirk Taylor and Melody of Allen. Daughter: Tracy and Mark Parks of Burleson. Honorary Daughter: Karla Sexton Cooper. Six grandchildren: Courtland and Jessica Taylor, Kolby Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Karena and Kevin Smith, Hannah and Matt Armendarez, and Caleb Taylor Parks. Nine great grandchildren: Jeffery, Monika, Noah, Cyrus, Isaiah, Ella, Amelia, Harley and Josiah. Brother: Kenneth Taylor. Sisters: Shirley Wright, Alma Faye and Ronnie Stanford. Brother-In-Law: Bo Brown. Numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by Parents Marvin and Alma Taylor, by Son Brent Taylor, Sister Lavell Redfern, Brothers-in-law Paul Redfern, Steve Wright, James Brown, Sisters-in-law Sue Brown, Mary Ann Brown, Betty Taylor, and Nephew James Brown. Jr.
