Reba Ann Hamilton's Obituary
Reba Ann O’Rear Hamilton, of Farmers Branch, TX, was born November 2, 1934 in Cass County (Atlanta), TX to Willard and Dora O’Rear. She passed away peacefully April 22, 2012 with her family at her side. Reba graduated from Atlanta High School where she was a member of the marching band, class secretary, and was voted Best All Around Girl. She married her devoted husband Doyce Hamilton on January 20, 1956. After moving to Dallas, she had a rewarding career as a dental assistant to Drs. Ralph and Keith Thornton, DDS for almost 40 years. She was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church of Farmers Branch, member of the UMW, Branch Sunday school class, the 3s and 4s, and Christ Care Ministries. Her beautiful garden and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her parents and her brother Billy Roy O’Rear preceded her in death. She is survived by Doyce, her husband of 56 years; her sons Russell and wife Kelly of Coppell, Mike and wife Karyn of Fairview, grandson Brent of McKinney, and granddaughters Ashley Urby and husband Joaquin of San Antonio, Chassie and Kourtney of Fairview; her brother David O’Rear and wife Linda of Irving; sister-in-law Ila Faye Crescimanno of Mt. Pleasant, and many nieces and nephews. The Family would like to thank the staff at Avalon Residential Care Services for their loving care, Harris Hospice and Compassionate Hands Hospice for their support for Reba and her family. Visitation will be Wednesday April 25, 2012 from 12:00-2:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, April 25, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
