I miss you so much
Reuben and I were friends way back at Cowart. I can remember doing all kinds of "dangerous things" like pushing the merry go round inside the spokes and playing tag on the monkey bars… We played cops and robbers after watching Hawaii 5-0, Starsky and Hutch and the Untouchables. He was always the friendliest guy, and had a ready smile. We played hundreds of hours of playground and street football over the years; he's probably the only guy I know that could be intense and smile at the same time. I appreciate the above photo, because what I see is the grown up version of my boyhood friend down to the little smile that shows in his eyes. My condolences to all of Reuben's family. May God comfort and bless you, and keep him. Charlie Howard, Sunset High School Class of 84

REUBEN; I still remember the day you were born. I was 10 years old & that's when I stopped playing with my dolls. I didn't need them anymore, I had my very own real baby doll in you. I loved helping mom watch & take care of you. You had a beautiful & radiant smile from the time you were born until the day you left us. Your love & passion for Jesus showed in that smile. I will never forget your phone calls, our long conversations and at times when we both poured our hearts out to each other! I promise I will take care of mom, your "duchess". Go and find our brother Rudy, he will take care of you now. Let Jesus wrap his arms around you. It's time for you to dance with the Angels, my sweet baby brother!! I LOVE YOU & I will always remember you with the song by your beloved, George Strait; "The Cowboy rides Away" . BATTER UP …. It's baseball time! You just hit a home run, now run home to Jesus!!
Missing you and thinking about you a lot today. Lost another friend last night so of course it stirred up a lot of emotions. Just wanted to let you know that you are missed daily. I hug my family a little longer and tell them I love them more often because I've realized tomorrow isn't promised. Thank you for always loving us so greatly. We love you! -Kristen Spence
My condolences to Reuben's family. He was far to young, but is now resting in peace in the presence our our Lord and Savior, those of us that believe will be with him again one day. Your family is in my prayers.
I offer my condolences to my Aunt Dora and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Cousins are the first friends we have as children, and we will cherish those memories. Reuben was taken so suddenly, and you will be greatly missed by all. God Bless you, and may you rest in peace. Your cousin, Betty DeLuna Nafus
