Richard Eugene Simpson's Obituary
Richard Eugene Simpson of Rockwall passed away on October 16, 2014 following a brief illness. Richard was born November 15, 1947 in Texarkana, Texas to Dale and Betty Simpson. A long term resident of Dallas, Richard moved to Rockwall following his retirement from AT&T and previously Southwestern Bell after 35 years of service. Richard was a graduate of the Highland Park School system and attended several Dallas area Colleges. His love of WWII history allowed travel to various Pacific battle sites. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and survived by a brother, Douglas Simpson (Judy) of Jackson, MS. He was loved by nieces, Rachel Giampaolo (Michael) of Pawtucket, RI, and Tracey Jarrard (Trey) of Arlington, VA and nephew, Mark Simpson of Jackson, MS. The graveside service for Richard Simpson will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
