Richard Edward Romer's Obituary
Richard Romer, age 79, passed away on May 9,2010 at home in Plano,TX. He was born on June 25,1930 in Lawrenceburg, IN. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Romer and daughter Cheryl Booe and husband Dave of Plano, son Doug Romer and wife Linda of Flower Mound and daughter Jennifer Trpkosh and husband Troy of Tyler. Grandchildren are Travis and Kevin Booe, Matthew and Austin Romer, Chad and Nicole Trpkosh. Also survived by his brother Bill Romer of Cincinnati, OH and sister-in-law Nancy Clark and husband Ron of Midlothian and several nephews and cousins. After graduating from Western Hills High School in Cincinnati and serving 4 years in the US Air Force in the Korean War, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He retired with Bowater Computer Forms in Dallas. He and Carolyn have been active members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Plano where there will be a memorial service on Wednesday, May 12 at 2:30 at the church. A private family burial will be at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stars Group, Grace Presbyterian Church.
