Robert Charles Baldermann's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Charles Baldermann, 79, passed away on May 27, 2017. He was born March 24, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, where he spent his early years. His family moved to Marion, Michigan when he was four, and he lived there throughout his school years, where he excelled in many sports, including basketball, football, and baseball. In 1958, Bob joined the Army, stationed at Killeen Base in Texas, where he met his wife, Joyce. Once married, Bob and Joyce moved to Michigan for three years and returned back to Texas in 1963, when Bob started his own business. Bob was an especially hard-working man, making sure his business was run well. If you couldn’t find Bob at his shop, you could find him on the golf course, his favorite pastime. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Mary and Howard Charles Baldermann; his sister, Colleen Lucile Baldermann; and his grandson, David Andrew Baldermann. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Marie Baldermann; his son, Rodrick Vaughn Baldermann, and his wife Lorraine; his daughter, Sharon Lynn Stephens, and her husband David; his grandson, Michael Scott Baldermann, and his wife Breanne; his granddaughter, Sydney Marie Armes, and her husband Philip; his great-grandsons, Gavin and Micah Baldermann; his brothers, Richard Lester Baldermann and his wife Marcia, and Russell Howard Baldermann and his wife Lyndy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Services will follow at the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choosing.
