Robert William Ezell's Obituary
Robert was born September 3, 1940 in Gilbert, Louisiana and passed away January 3, 2015 in Carrollton, Texas after a short battle with cancer. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Alvin Ezell, Dorothy Bowdin, Harry Ezell and Ruby Nell Ezell. Robert & Liz moved to the Dallas area in 1967 and settled in their current home in Garland in1977. Robert was a master plumber by trade and established the Ezell Plumbing Company in 1973 which he successfully ran until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed serving with the Meals On Wheels program for the last ten years and loved delivering meals to those who were in need. He shared his caring smile with all he served. He also loved working in his yard and flower garden where he grew many beautiful flowers. He loved all animals and was particularly fond of his little dog “Alicia”. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Liz Ezell; brother, Glen Ezell of Vicksburg MS; and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Fore of Tallulah, LA and Carolyn Swoop of Columbus, MS, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 901 South Bowser Rd in Richardson with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers: Bill Kershaw, Ken Taylor, Mark Phillips, Paul Tate, Hollis Carver and Tim Lange Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Richardson with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
