Robert Stanley Williams, Jr. was born on January 8, 1931 in Anderson, South Carolina and passed away on February 28, 2016 in Richardson, Texas. Preceded in death by his mother, Hattie Lucille Williams, his father, Robert Stanley Williams, Sr. and son-in-law, Michael G. Taylor. Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Williams; daughter, Rene’ Taylor; sons, Michael Williams, John Williams and wife, Penny, Ben Williams and wife, Kristina, Kevin Gear and wife, Christy; grandchildren, Robert Taylor and wife, Kelly, Eric Williams, Samantha Williams and baby boy Williams arriving in August; great granddaughters, Peyton and Maddox; sister, Charlotte Blackburn; nephews, Philip Blackburn and wife Lesley, Ted Blackburn and wife, Sara, and niece, Janie Norman. Bob was proud of his 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corp, including 18 months in Korea. He worked in corporate management for Travelers Insurance for 20 years. He owns Bob Williams Insurance, a Farmers Agency, he founded 27 years ago. Bob was an entrepreneur who strived to build, to achieve and to win. His strong faith in God led him in all aspects of his life. He was a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas. Bob had a long history as a friend and mentor to many encompassing several generations. He loved his family with all his heart, sharing his faith, love and discipline. We are proud of him, love him and see him again in Heaven. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
