Ronald Allen Houston was born October 30, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed away February 24, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon A. Houston and Marjorie Almon Houston as well as his brothers Donald A. Houston and John A. Houston. He is survived by his nieces and nephew Stephanie Houston Schultz and spouse Jeff Schultz, Jennifer Houston, Michele A. Houston and spouse Linda Morash, Scott Houston and spouse Angel Houston, and Tracy Houston Peirce. Ronnie faithfully served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam and Germany. After his time in the army, he studied at the University of Texas Arlington receiving a BA in Accounting. He worked in accounting for many years in Dallas and then ran a successful business. Ronnie loved reading, fishing, and playing board and card games. He was a quiet, kind man with a wicked sense of humor. He always wore overalls. Always. He loved his Basset Hounds and his family. A private memorial will be held to celebrate his life. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
